Q: I downloaded an executable installer of one of your games. After downloading I tried to install the game,
but I got an error message that the installer packet is corrupted. The size of the downloaded file is about
700kb, while the download page lists the file size as 3.2Mb.
A: It is rare, but definitely possible that the downloading of a file breaks before the download has completed. Usually
when this happens Windows will notice and either retry the download or notify you that the download was not succesful.
Sometimes it so happens that the file download will fail and Windows still believes that everything is fine. When this
happens, you should try to load another version of the file (eg. the zipped build if you were trying to download the
executable installer).
Q: A file I downloaded turned out to be corrupted, so I logged back to your site and attempted to download the same
file again. However, every time I try to download it I just get an instant notification that the file download
was completed. The file still appears corrupted. I have tried deleting the file on the hard disk, but that didn't help
either. Please advice!
A: What you are seeing is that the corrupted file is in Windows's file cache, meaning that Windows "remembers" the file
and doesn't even attempt to download it again. Usually this is fine, but when you have something like a corrupted file
things get a little tricky. You have two choices here. One is to flush your internet browser's cache (Internet Explorer
users: Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files). This takes care of the
problem but it also flushes all the other stuff from the browser's memory, which can be annoying especially if you are
using dial-up connection. Another alternative is to download a different file, for instance if you attempted to
download the executable installer, go ahead and download the zip installer packet instead.
Q: I downloaded one of your games on my computer. After downloading the packet I tried to find the game in the
Windows Start menu, but it doesn't appear to be there. What should I do?
A: All of our games come with installer to install the game on your computer. Once you have completed downloading the
packet, you will need to run the installer in order to be able to play the game. You only need to run the installer
once, after that the game can be found in the Windows Start menu, and also on the Windows desktop if you choose so.
Q: I am interested in playing your games, but some of them mention a time limit after which time the game stops
functioning. I'm afraid that this leaves my computer full of games that I can't play! What's the reason for you doing
this?
A: First of all, there is no reason to worry. All of our games come with a simple uninstaller which will remove the game
completely from your computer if you decide you don't want to keep it after all. The purpose of the trial period is
to give you an opportunity to play the game for free so that you can see for yourself if you like it or not. We all
have different tastes so if you try out a game and don't like it so much, no hard feelings! Just run the uninstaller
to remove it from your computer, and if you feel like it just try some of our other games. When you find a game that you
like, each of the games feature an in-game link to an easy and secure purchase process, which will unlock the game and
remove any restrictions. And remember - you can change your mind even after you've purchased the game. Just let us know
and we'll refund your purchase in full!
